Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of main approaches to gender analysis in language, which have developed in modern linguistics. The understanding of “gender” and the distribution of “gender roles” in society have undergone significant changes since the beginning of the 20th century, giving impetus to the development of gender linguistics. The study provides a brief analysis of the relationship between gender and language through the prism of various approaches.
