ICO AS A NEW WAY OF FINANCING COMPANIES
Abstract
Background. The purpose of this article is to determine the advantages of initial coin offering (ICO) as a way to raise funds and provide a detailed description of the ICO to realize the future opportunities that this new method of financing opens up.
Methods. This is a comprehensive overview of ICO, crowdfunding mechanism, blockchain technology underlying it, advantages and current disadvantages of ICO as a convenient and effective way to raise capital.
Result. ICOS have brought billions of dollars in funding to companies and projects around the world in less than two years. At the same time, many successful ICOS have brought extremely high returns to investors and supporters of this new way of financing businesses.
Conclusion. ICO is a new effective way to attract funding, which opens up opportunities for many technology companies to Finance their activities and projects.
