ENRICHING THE VOCABULARY OF PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN RUSSIAN LANGUAGE LESSONS
Abstract
This article examines the role of expanding the active vocabulary of primary school students in the Russian language lessons, the impact of its formation on the development of primary school students, as well as the role of primary school teachers in the formation of the lexical stock of students. The results of an express study of the level of vocabulary enrichment in primary school children are described in detail. The purpose of this express study is to determine the level of active vocabulary of primary school students. The study was conducted on the basis of MBOU Secondary school No. 15 in Neryungri. The period of this study is four academic weeks (February – March 2020-2021 academic year). The results of diagnostics of the initial level of vocabulary enrichment and the intermediate result are presented, and subsequent results will be revealed at the end of the study. The article also describes in detail the methods aimed at identifying the level of vocabulary of primary school students, the types of exercises aimed at this problem, as well as examples of exercises used in the work on vocabulary enrichment within the school educational program. There are also several ways to select words in order to create a lexical minimum and their features.
