STUDY OF THE FACTORS CONTRIBUTING TO THE OCCURRENCE OF FALSE NEGATIVE RESULTS OF RESEARCH IN COVID-19 AND MEASURES TO PREVENT THEM
Abstract
PCR (polymerase chain reaction) is a highly accurate and sensitive method that determines the presence of SARS-CoV-2 virus RNA in the human body, its specificity is about 100%. WHO claims that only 5% of PCR tests give a false negative result in infected patients, and link their arguments with the conditions of transportation, storage of the selected samples, the availability of testing tests for sensitivity, the willingness of the patient to take a smear.
