REFORMING THE CIS: KYRGYZSTAN'S POSITION
Abstract
In contrast, Kyrgyzstan saw more benefits from deepening integration and cooperation with Russia. Kyrgyzstan has gradually achieved a stable socio-political situation, and has become one of the most economically developed countries in the CIS. The Republic is a recognized leader in the integration processes in Central Asia, entered the peaceful arena, and pursued a balanced, pragmatic policy within the CIS. The position of the Kyrgyz leadership regarding the role and place of the CIS remains unchanged, and "the CIS activity remains in demand, in which Kyrgyzstan will take an active part."
