ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF USING CLOUD TECHNOLOGIES IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Abstract

The article discusses the theoretical aspects of cloud technologies and the main types of cloud computing, which include SaaS, PaaS and IaaS. On the example of the Russian Federation, the percentage distribution of the total volume of cloud computing by type is shown. In relation to project management, the advantages and disadvantages of using cloud computing are described, as well as the criteria for selecting a cloud system that is suitable for a particular project. Based on a comparison with the classical model of computing, the advantages of cloud technologies and their disadvantages are highlighted. As a result of the research, the prospects for the development of cloud technologies are presented.
